ANIMAL ORDINANCES TO CONSIDER

The following are some of the basic animal control ordinances for the Town of Waterville:

Pet owners are required to provide animals with necessary food, water, shelter, sanitation, space, and medical attention, if needed.

Leash law applies when off your own property in Town Limits. Note: streets and sidewalks are public property.

Barking and whining habitually for more than 15 minutes in any one hour period, and documented by three or more separate episodes in a sequential 7-day period, is not allowed. The Wenatchee Valley Animal Care and Control officers handle these calls. For more details, click here.

Licensing your dog is required annually, at age 4 months and up. Dog and cat license expire on January 31st. Please renew before expiration date to avoid a late fee. Licenses are obtained at the Waterville Town Hall.

Rabies vaccinations for all animals must be kept current.

School grounds are off limits to dogs at all times.

Note: The Town of Waterville allows a maximum of 3 dogs per household.
